Stellantis’ Alfa Romeo has claimed record breaking first quarter 2023 sales saying registrations in Europe “more than doubled” with a year on year increase of 136%. Market share rose by 100%.

Sales in Austria and were up 317% and 400% respectively and market share tripled though the company did not provide supporting data.

Italy saw sales rise 188%; France, 174%; Germany, 112%; Spain, 121%; and the Netherlands, 186%.

The Middle East region saw growth of 146% with Turkey accounting for 55%.

The launch of the new Tonale in Europe, coupled with updates for Giula and Stelvio, is “expected to reinforce the brand’s continued growth and success throughout the year”, Alfa Romeo said.
