Volvo claims the upcoming EX30 has the lowest environmental impact of all its cars to date.

The automaker said 25% of the aluminium and 17% of steel used in the model is sourced “sustainably”.

17% of plastics in the car are recycled.

Through the combination of multiple functions, fewer parts are required “without compromising on functionality”.

The factory uses 100% climate neutral electricity.

The interior uses eco-friendly materials for seats, dashboard and doors – denim, flax, and a wool blend which includes around 70% recycled polyester.

End of life recovery is estimated to be around 95%.
